Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026

Short version: we collect what we need to fix your technology and run your membership, we don’t sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.

01What this policy covers

This policy explains what You Wreck We Tech, LLC collects about you, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, the member portal, and the services we deliver in person and remotely.

02What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, email, phone, where you are, how you found us, and what you tell us in a form, call, text or email.
  • Account details if you create a member login: email, name, sign-in method, and the plan, hours, devices, homes and people on your membership.
  • Payment details are collected by our payment processor, Stripe. We see the card brand, last four digits and payment status, never the full card number.
  • Device and technical information from covered devices through our monitoring agent: device name, hardware health, operating system and update status, security alerts, and installed software inventory.
  • Backup data: copies of the folders you choose to back up, stored encrypted with our backup provider.
  • Website usage: pages visited, device type and approximate location, collected by Base44, the platform this site runs on, to keep the site working and understand what people use. We do not run advertising trackers.

03How we use it

  • To answer your request, schedule and deliver service, and keep notes so you never have to explain your setup twice.
  • To run your membership: track hours, calculate rollover and quarterly refunds, bill you, and show it all in your portal.
  • To protect covered devices: back them up, keep protection current, and alert you when monitoring spots a problem.
  • To send service messages such as appointment confirmations, invoices, security alerts and changes to these terms. Marketing email is sent only if you opt in, and every message has an unsubscribe link.
  • To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

04Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with providers that help us deliver the service, and only what they need:

  • Base44: hosts this website, the member portal, our forms and our database.
  • Stripe: processes payments and stores card details.
  • Splashtop: provides remote-session and monitoring software on covered devices.
  • Backup and security vendors: store encrypted backups and run antivirus on covered devices.
  • Google: hosts our email and the documents on our Materials page.
  • Specialists we bring in on a job, under confidentiality, when a problem needs them.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety.

05What we see during service

Fixing technology sometimes means seeing what is on it. During a session we may see files, messages, browsing history or account screens. We look only at what the job requires, we do not copy or keep it, and we treat anything we see as confidential. Monitoring reports device health, not your personal content.

06How long we keep it

  • Contact requests: up to 3 years, so we can recognise returning clients.
  • Membership, invoices and service notes: for the life of your membership and 7 years after, for tax and dispute purposes.
  • Backups: for the life of your membership and 30 days after cancellation, then deleted. Ask us for a copy before you leave.
  • Monitoring data: 12 months on a rolling basis.

07Your choices and rights

  • Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We’ll do so unless we need to keep it for the reasons above.
  • Cancel your membership at any time, which stops monitoring and schedules your backups for deletion.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time. Service messages continue while you are a client.
  • Florida and other US state privacy laws may give you additional rights. Email us and we’ll honour them.

08Security

Portal access requires a password or a sign-in with Google, Microsoft, Apple or Facebook. Backups are encrypted in transit and at rest. Our own devices run the same protection we install for you. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you promptly.

09Children

Our services are bought by adults. Children in a household may use covered devices, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 beyond what is needed to support the device.

10Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in to the portal. Base44 sets analytics cookies to count visits. We use no advertising cookies.

11Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when our practices change and email members about anything material.
